GRADUATING NORDSTROM

Hello all! I thought I would update you all on what been going on with Andrew and I the last few weeks. As many of you know, I have been working at Nordstrom for an internship this summer. This internship has taken place during the craziest sale of the year which has kept me pretty busy working long shifts, nights, and weekends. Despite my schedule being hectic, I am grateful for the many meaningful experiences I was able to have.

I interned in the Kids Department which is probably the most busy and complex department, especially during the Anniversary Sale. In the beginning, I did a lot of managerial work in prep for the sale, but once it came, I spent a majority of my time selling. I had appointments where I set product aside so it made the customers' shopping experience so much easier, and I also just helped people as they came into the store. At the conclusion of the sale, we ranked #1 in the region and in the company for the highest percent increase from last year's sale numbers. This is extremely impressive because our store has been running a decrease, but as a department we will be able to come up on top! I am so proud of our team, and our success. Yay!

To conclude the internship, today we had our Nordstrom graduation where we met with all of the interns in the program and recognized each one for their successes. It was fun to get to meet together for one last time as the internship comes to a close. It honestly feels so good to be done this week:)!

Mostly, I am so thankful for Andrew. He has been the biggest supporter through this all.  Working late nights and weekends isn't the most fun, which makes every moment we have together that much sweeter! He is always so positive and keeps me going even when I feel like giving up.

So...we are also VERY excited that I have accepted a Customer Care Specialist position at Del Sol, a company headquartered here in Sandy, Utah after my internship. My hours will be regular business hours and it's literally four minutes away from our apartment, so it's perfect.

We have seen the Lord bless Andrew and I so much since being married. We recognize that it is truly through our Heavenly Father that we have been so taken care of. The gospel is true, and God loves each of us! Thanks for reading and following along our journey!

Love, Erin

The interns of store 73 & our Store Manager!

My manager Rach & I! She has been a great mentor and I am thankful for her support through the entire program. I'll miss her & the Kids Department Team.

I ended up having the highest Sales Per Hour out of all the interns, and I also opened up the most reward accounts. It made me so happy knowing I was able to achieve and go above and beyond my goals for the sale.

Temple Date Night!

I Love Andrew!
