OUR TRIP TO THE BAY

Happy Thursday! Today is a great day because it's over halfway through the week and I can't wait for the weekend--mostly because it's General Conference weekend which is always my favorite. I always get so pumped knowing that I am going to get spiritually fed by the inspired men and women of God.  Also, one of the best parts about it is that you can stream it from any device at Lds.org! So, if you aren't doing anything this weekend I most definitely recommend listing to the best thing ever that will bring happiness to your soul and life.

I am also so excited because I get to share about our most recent trip to the bay area. Andrew grew up in Fremont, Ca most of his life and I had never been to the Bay--plus Andrew's siblings live close to the area so it was perfect for the visit. Shoutout and a BIG thank you to Rachel for letting us stay with her!

Our first full day in the bay we were able to visit Monterey and ate the most delicious fish & chips with clam chowder. We then went to the Aquarium! I loved seeing the otters, hammerhead sharks, and the jelly fish. Also, the view of the water was so gorgeous from the deck of the aquarium. I loved it all so much!

We then travelled to Carmel and sat on the white sand beach--which was equally as awesome. This trip also included a 17-mile drive along the coast line. We did get lost a few times there, but overall it was perfect. I think I found our dream house...at least 3 times haha!

The next day consisted of a trip to Fremont to visit all of Andrew's old stomping grounds. And getting delicious Vassey's donuts. Unfortunately, I have figured out that donuts in Utah really stink compared to California donuts. I want more and I am so sad I didn't take any pictures of them. They were that good. Andrew also got his Super Taco...which he has been raving about for quite some time. I loved seeing him so happy eating his burrito.

We made it the San Francisco early afternoon and ended up visiting Pier 39, eating at Boudin's, loving all the chocolate at Ghirardelli Square, and viewing the Golden Gate Bridge. There was so much to see and I feel like we have to go back to see even more. It was truly a treat to be with Andrew's siblings and get to spend time with them. We absolutely love seeing family even if it was a quick weekend.

I look forward to getting to travel more with Andrew and all of the fun adventures we have ahead of us. Life is tuly an amazing gift and blessing and it makes me so happy when I get to do so many fun and exciting things with my best friend.

Cheers to an awesome Thursday and upcoming conference weekend.

Love, Erin

This display at the aquarium is supposed to mimic the ocean waves. Lets just say I was pretty enthralled by this.

 I LOVED THE JELLY FISH!

I think Andrew makes a pretty good fish, eh?

Carmel is so gorgeous. If you have never been...you need to go!

Andrew was so happy about getting his Super Taco!

 Alcatraz!

This place is where dreams come true. Basically, I call it chocolate land.

Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge was one of the my favorite parts of the day! I absolutely loved the view and getting to experience it with my family!

Picture within a picture!

I love these people! I sure got lucky when it  came to gaining these amazing people as family!
