HELLO SNOW

Look. SNOW!

So, to be honest I was hoping that the snow would stay away for as long as possible, but of course, mother nature had other plans in mind.

You see, I have lived in Idaho for three years, and I still FREEZE every fall/winter. I don't think I will ever get used to it. But somehow, I still love it here.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a couple old Christmas records from DI that just brought back all of my favorite memories of this time of year. Not gonna lie, I got pretty sentimental!

I got to thinking about all the memories of meals with families, songs sung, games played, and lots os laughter. These little snippets from my life I will cherish forever.

But most of all, I love this time of year because it allows me to contemplate and thank God for all the blessings I have, and the wonderful life I live.

I so often look at others people's lives and realize that I have it SO good. Yes, I have my struggles, but the blessings I enjoy surpass them all. I have a family that loves me and I love them! I have a boyfriend, friends and so many more people in my life that support and uplift me. I am healthy, and I have the gospel of Jesus Christ! I have talents and skills I am developing and I'm almost a college graduate. Just so much goodness, I could go on and on...

As Thanksgiving approaches, I hope we can all truly look at our lives and realize how great they are. We all have hard times, but I know as we look closely, we will discover there is beauty in life, whether it be big or small. Joy truly comes when we remember the little things in life that make us smile!

PS I ate snow the other night. I think i'll stick to snow cones instead...

Have a Happy Weekend!

-Erin
