Andrew and I were fortunate enough to spend five days and four nights in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the Garza Blanca Resort & Spa for our honeymoon. Let me just say how PERFECTLY AMAZING IT WAS! This was my first time out of the country, and it felt pretty cool to not only have a stamp win my passport, but to be able to do this "first time" traveling with Andrew.
We left Sunday morning and arrived in Mexico around 4:30 pm. It was about a 30 minute drive to the resort...where I realized driving in Mexico is much different than in the U.S. haha. It was so interesting to drive through the streets of Puerto Vallarta and to see the buildings, the people...I began to realize that life in Mexico is quite contrast from where I live.
When we arrived, I was in awe of the beauty of the resort and the ocean. The resort, amongst others is nestled right on the beach, and you can clearly see most of the Puerto Vallarta coast.
Our room was in the building on the left and had the most gorgeous view--as you can see in next couple of pictures below. Pretty cool eh?
At the resort, there were three different restaurants we could go to--so the first night we went to Blanca Blue, an International restaurant. Our view also overlooked the ocean which was a bonus! And the food, yep, pretty much the best tasting food I have ever had. Our package was all inclusive, so we could eat all that we wanted--and we sure did!
One night we had filet mignon, and this delicious lava cake at Bocados STK. Two of my favorite foods in one setting. It was heavenly.
Later that evening we went to the top of the Hotel Mousai, which is one of Garza Blanca's partnered hotels. Now, this hotel is pretty swanky, as it has an endless pool on the roof. We got to the top just in time to see the sunset. What a night!
Most of our days were spent in the pools and at the beach. One afternoon we rented a Jet Ski, and that was one of the most fun things I have ever done. Andrew had a fun time trying to scare me. To be honest I was a little freaked out for the first minute or two, but then, it was nothing but pure exhilaration. I can't wait to try this again some time.
On our last night we ate at the Sushi Restaurant in the resort--which made the best ending to our trip. Andrew and I love sushi, and this was some extremely tasty and fancy sushi. We ordered so much, and were so incredibly full. Totally worth it.
And....our porch had a hammock. It just got better!
I am so thankful we were able to go on this fun-filled trip together to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I can't wait to travel more with my best friend!
