SLC Trip

so i've been the worst at keeping up on my blog. this semester as been the craziest yet! with two jobs and taking 14 credits i've been constantly on the go. that's why i was so grateful when my bestfriend and i decided to plan a fun trip to SLC. even though i missed school and work, it was so worth it.  i needed some chill time...and a break from everyday life. for those of you know don't know, marki and i have been bestfriends since 5th grade. that's over 10 years which is so crazy. i am thankful that God blessed me with a lifelong friend!

ALSO...

heres just a little list of what we did:

we got delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. party in my mouth.

marki had never been to temple square so it was so cool to get to go to all the different buildings and to look at all of the displays. i loved the visitors center that talks about the temple. click on the link above to learn more about it.

okay. so this mall is the best ever--and it can be dangerous for a shopper like me. i was able to find some pretty cool stuff while we were there. i'm all about the deals.

i've been to salt lake countless times, but i have never visited the capitol. marki has this hilarious selfie stick and we took so many pictures. lots of people were looking at us funny, buy we couldn't help to still use it.

5. ED SHEERAN concert (IT WAS SO GOOD)
*picture this*. 12th row in a huge stadium. we were so close to ed. i nearly died. he is such a great performer and sounds exactly like his recordings. srs. so good. marki and i couldn't believe it was real life.  we kept turning to it each saying how unreal it was that we were there.

marki and i were looking at grad schools, and we decided to tour the u of u. and surprisingly, we really liked the campus. also, the tour guide made hannah montana references. we were the only ones that laughed, which made it all the more fun!

7. went to east high school to relive our high school musical dreams
marki didn't believe me when i told her that sharpay's locker from HSM was still pink. i was right. we were able to feel like we were in HSM by finding all the places from the movies. we might be 21 and 20, but we enjoyed every moment of it. i think we will always love HSM. no shame.

we were able to visit my cousin and get yummy ice cream at the creamery. the last time i had been there was proably 7 years or so, which is crazy to think. i'm always down to get to ice cream and to see family.

9. pitch perfect 2
are you aca-serious??

we got cupcakes. so good. the end.

basically it was the best trip i've taken in a long time. it's so weird that i'm 21 years old, because when i'm hanging with my bff it's like we are 12 again haha. even though i'm getting older, i am grateful for the opportunities that allow me to step back and enjoy life. time seems to pass too quickly, and i don't want to regret not taking the time to take fun and spontaneous trips!

so, if you feel that you need to take a trip, or do something out of the ordinary. DO IT!

also, happy saturday!

xo, erin
