Awkward and Awesome

THURSDAYS--the struggle is real. for some reason i always seem to be in a funk on thursday's. mostly i think i'm just so ready for the weekend that the day tends to feel so long...so instead on focusing on the negative, here's something awkward and awesome that happened today. 

Awkward

disclaimer: i literally feel like i thrive off awkward, and i have totally accepted it.  i just decided to roll with the awkwardness. it can be pretty great.

so today at work my supervisor called me ester (only at byui). i mean, it's close to erin...sort of. but the best part is that it was said in front of all of my male co-workers. for those of you who don't know, i am a beta tester on campus. so basically i test software for four hours a day, monday thru friday, and it's pretty great. i get to dress in casual clothes and i can jam to my music. being the only girl has been an interesting experience, as i have listened to  every guy conversation imaginable. they tend to pick on me, but i've grown accustomed to it. i just like to think it's cause they like me so much haha but yeah, i have a feeling "ester" will come back to haunt me for the next few weeks. i'll just go with it. awkward it is:)

Awesome

haley and i usually eat a lot of our meals together cause it saves us money...and lets be real, she cooks way better than me, so that helps. tonight she made fish, with white rice and mushrooms with cilantro lime sauce. now before you judge, can i say how yummy it was?? literally one of the most tasty meals i have had in a while. i don't mess around about my food, so i got pretty excited how delicious it was. there is nothing like having a warm meal to make your day that much better. that meal made today awesome fo sho. oh and i got to go swinging. as a kid, swinging was my favorite thing to do on the playground. so i felt like i was able to relive the good 'ol days today. i think my day just got awesomer...if that's even possible.
