I just realized that I talked about what my blog would be about, yet I didn't introduce myself which may be confusing ha. But hey, here we go!
So name is Erin and I am 20 years old. I love food--especially chocolate. Also, I love big sweaters and colorful socks. Anything stripes I am automatically drawn to and my closet testifies of that. I come from a family of eight kids with me third from the bottom. I have the most amazing parents and grandparents who have been and continue to be the best role models any one could ask for.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, also known as LDS or Mormon. Religion is such a big part of my life and has shaped me into the person I am today.
I love to laugh and quote Nacho Libre. I am the master of facial expressions which sometimes gets me into trouble, even though I don't say a word.
I am a music lover and absolutely love finding new genres and artists. I will listen to anything--besides degrading rap--and appreciate all types of music. I was a band person most of my life so I have a deep love for music and the joy it brings.
I attend Brigham Young University in Idaho and I am currently a sophomore. As of right now I am switching my major from Elementary Education to something else...which will be decided soon. Idaho has grown on me over the last year and I have truly come to love my school and the people there.
Most of my siblings refer to me as "bear" instead of Erin. I have tried to get to a straight answer to why this nickname came about and the only answer I was given was this:
"Well Erin, when you were born you were really hairy like a bear, so that's why we started calling you that."
Now that you all know I was super hairy as a baby, doesn't that make you feel better about yourself? ha
This nickname though is why I chose the name of my blog. Although I am young and not as experienced as most, I hope you will Bear With Me as I write down my thoughts and feelings.
Get ready, because it's going to be interesting!
xo
Erin
